The SeaPlanner product is widely used around the world in wind farm and dredging sites, in order to help clients manage their sites; in particular, their safety and security. The installation of One third of Europe’s operational offshore wind turbines has been managed by SeaPlanner software.

Our Induct.me product allows businesses in many industries to manage the induction and re-induction of their staff.



This is a demanding role, ideally suited to someone looking for an interesting and challenging workload from the outset. The candidate will have the opportunity to contribute significantly towards the growth and long term stability of a leader in the offshore renewables industry and to its introduction into other markets.

He or she should:

· Have a keen interest in technology and a thirst for knowledge

· Be analytical and meticulous by nature, being able to solve problems in an

   innovative and creative manner.

· Be highly motivated and committed, with excellent time management skills, being


   of managing and prioritising his or her challenging workload.

· Be prepared to demonstrate a record of achievement and deep understanding of

   ASP.Net MVC Web Application Development

· Ideally, the person should have experience of interfacing with hardware and of

   communication protocols

· Exposure to GIS development will be advantageous


Technical Skills

This requirement would suit a person with good all-round skills, including a strong understanding of design patterns and server-side technologies; such as the creation, securing and consuming APIs; etc. Evidence of exposure to mobile devices will be beneficial.

The candidate should be an experienced self-starter with experience of front and back-end development and the whole product life-cycle, with experience of agile development.

They will have the following skills and experience:

 Solid experience of developing web applications in C# and ASP.NET MVC 4+

 Development and maintenance of SQL Server 2008+ (exposure to 2012 preferred)


 Entity Framework 6

 HTML 5

 JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax

 AngularJS


 A sound understanding of network fundamentals

 TCP/IP and web services, WebAPI preferred

 A good understanding of code architecture, design patterns and anti-patterns

 Agile development, BDD/TDD/NUnit


In addition to the above, exposure to the following technologies are desirable:

Desirable skills:

 PostgreSQL



 Bootstrap

 Experience of hardware interfacing

 GIS (GeoServer, OpenLayers)

In addition to the technical skills we are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, able to convey clear and concise information verbally and in writing to clients for many of whom English is a second or third language. In addition to this, the candidate must have first-rate interpersonal skills, being capable of building profitable relationships with clients, staff and third parties alike.


The successful candidate will receive training in GIS application development and Satellite communications.
